Campus Life

NIU Law students enjoy all the benefits of being part of a large, nationally recognized research university. These opportunities include the option to pursue dual-degree programs such as the J.D./MBA and the J.D./M.P.A., take graduate courses in other disciplines relevant to legal studies, and engage with the vibrant intellectual life of the university at large.

There is something for everyone on the NIU campus, including student clubs and organizations, recreational facilities, campus events, cultural offerings such as theater, music and the arts and Division I athletic programs.

Located in the heart of NIU’s main campus in DeKalb, IL, NIU Law enjoys the perks of being part of a supportive community, with access to the world class network of cultural and entertainment offerings of the greater Chicago area.

A complete host of services is available to students including comprehensive health care, counseling, childcare and career planning. A bus system operates throughout the campus and the community, allowing students to live or shop off campus while maintaining convenient access to NIU. Shuttles to the nearest Metra station in Elburn, IL are also provided on weekends.
