About the Center for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality

The Center for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality (CSWGS) offers interdisciplinary academic programs that, in the analysis of human culture, focus on:

  • Contributions and status of women and LGBTQ+ people.
  • Understandings of love and sexuality in relationships.
  • Dynamics of sex roles and gender ideals, past and present.
  • Impact of race, ethnicity, age, social class, sexual orientation, ability and other factors on women's experiences and the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer+ (LGBTQ+) people.
