Bachelor of General Studies in Health and Human Sciences

A Bachelor Degree Completion Program.

Now’s the time to prepare yourself for leadership by learning from a curriculum combining elective courses in a wide choice of fields with required courses focusing on supervision, administration, legal and ethical issues and diversity as they relate to health and human science careers.

This degree is a perfect fit for dental hygienists, respiratory therapists, EMTs, and other professionals working in health and human sciences settings in need of a bachelor degree for professional advancement.

If you have a current professional credential, certificate or license in a health or human sciences field and completed an applied science degree (or equivalent number of credits), you are eligible for admission and can easily complete this degree with a combination of transfer course work, online NIU classes and proficiency credit.

B.G.S. core courses are conveniently scheduled 100% online, except for those available at the community college.
