Future of NGO Studies Conference
Travel and Accomodations
For our many international travelers who will require a visa to enter the United States, we have prepared a letter in support of applications. Please email Mark Schuller at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like a letter addressed to you.
Our downtown meeting location is a few blocks from the American Anthropology Association’s main conference hotels. AAA members may want to book the same hotel for both conferences. Click here for information about AAA conference hotels.
Click here for a list of hotels provided by our host, DePaul University.
Some conference participants may prefer to consider homestays as an economical option. Click here to search options in Chicago.
For people looking for a room to share or a roommate, please click here to complete a Doodle poll.

From O’Hare International Airport, the Blue Line connects to downtown (the Loop). To get there from Chicago Midway International Airport, take the Orange Line. Click here for information about Chicago public transit.
After October 1, we will have an idea of how much donated funding – if any – is available to assist travelers in need. At that time we will send out information about how to apply for a modest travel stipend.
For those with the means, please consider donating to a travel fund to help us provide this assistance.
We are looking for people who are able to consider making a donation to support travel stipends for those in need. For people who do not need a tax deduction, an additional amount can be donated directly through the registration process.
If you require an acknowledgment of receipt for tax purposes, please click here to visit the NIU Foundation website.
Once there please click that you would like your gift to be designated to "a particular area." Then under "Choose Your Area of Support," click "University Wide Programs." Under select a fund to support, scroll down and click "NGO Studies Conference," and enter the amount of donation.
