Amnesty International (AI-NIU)

Amnesty International NIU is an officially recognized chapter of Amnesty International, a worldwide movement dedicated to freeing prisoners of conscience, gaining fair trials for political prisoners, ending torture, political killings and abolishing the death penalty throughout the world. AI-NIU's major goal is to raise awareness in the Law School about human rights issues by bringing speakers to campus, hosting discussions and debates, and organizing petition drives, as well as preparing students to be life long members of AI's Legal Support Network.
