Gary Vander Meer assumed the role of associate director of the law library in August 1999. He joined the law library faculty in 1981 as cataloging librarian and became technical services librarian in 1982. His principal responsibilities are in library administration and serials control, cataloging, and the accounting aspects of the library. He has presented programs relating to library cataloging at local, regional, and national conferences, and has served as a committee member of local and national law library organizations. He is a past chair of the Technical Services Special Interest Section of the American Association of Law Libraries. He also participates in providing reference service to the law library's users.
