Biography
David Taylor teaches courses in Civil Procedure, Evidence, Trial Advocacy and Lawyering Skills; and coaches students in Client Counseling, National Moot Court and Mock Trial Competitions. Additionally, Professor Taylor is Director of Skills Training. In 2006, Professor Taylor was named a Presidential Teaching Professor, the highest teaching honor bestowed by NIU. Prior to joining the faculty, he practiced for 10 years with Prairie State Legal Services, where he was a staff attorney and most recently held the position of deputy director of litigation. While practicing with legal services, Professor Taylor litigated several significant public housing and welfare class actions.
