Career Opportunities

Students researching career opportunities at the College of Law.

Since the College of Law maintains a small student body, the Career Services Office staff can provide students and alumni more personalized insight into, and awareness of, a wide range of career options. Extensive one-on-one counseling is offered to help students and alumni in the selection of suitable employment opportunities. The office refers qualified applicants to prospective employers and solicits potential employers wishing to conduct interviews with students. The Director of Career Opportunities and Professional Development maintains listings covering a wide range of opportunities in the legal profession as well as information on judicial clerkships and fellowships.

The Director of Career Opportunities and Professional Development is available to students and alumni for counseling and advice on all phases of career and placement activity. In addition to personal appointments with students, the Director provides assistance with resume preparation, job search strategy, and interviewing skills. A library of placement resources is maintained for both students and alumni. The Career Opportunities and Professional Development Office holds panels and programs in which various practitioners and alumni discuss their particular type of practice, both traditional and non-traditional. The office also participates in job fairs and graduates are kept apprised of current job openings.
