It is hoped that the information on this and related pages will help direct people to the legal services and information they need, especially those who are low-income. The three places that provide legal assistance/information in the Winnebago County area for low income are Prairie State Legal Services, Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic – NIU, and the Self Help Center at the Courthouse:

WCBA (Winnebago County Bar Association) (815) 964-5152 is the local number to obtain a lawyer for issues not covered by PSLS or ZGLC, or if you are not qualified for low-income assistance.
