NIU College of Law Alumni Elected to Board of Governors of Illinois State Bar Association

DeKalb, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University College of Law is pleased to congratulate alumni James F. McCluskey and Lisa M. Nyuli on their election to the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA).
McCluskey, a 1979 alumnus, is a partner in the firm of Momkus McCluskey, LLC, in Lisle where he concentrates his practice in the trial of professional and commercial liability cases. An active member of the ISBA, he has served as a member of its Assembly, chairman of its Agenda and Practice Committee, and member on its Civil Practice & Procedure Council and Allerton House Committee. McCluskey also is the past president of the DuPage County Bar Foundation, and in 2008, he was named the DuPage County Bar Association’s prestigious “Lawyer of the Year.”
Nyuli, a 1989 alumna, is a partner with Ariano, Hardy, Nyuli, Johnson, Richmond & Goettel, P.C. in South Elgin where she concentrates her practice in family law and general civil litigation. Nyuli is a past president of the Kane County Bar Association and the Elgin Bar Association. She also served as president of the Family Counseling Service of Aurora and volunteer for the YMCA Legal Aid Clinic. In addition, she was named Alumna of the Year by the NIU Law Alumni Council and received the Kane County Bar Association Family Law Achievement Award.
The Illinois State Bar Association Board, comprised of 25 members, directs the operations and activities of the 35,000-member statewide organization. With offices in Springfield and Chicago, the ISBA provides professional services to Illinois lawyers and education and services to the public.
