NIU College of Law Awarded 2003 Sullivan Scholarship

DeKalb-Dean LeRoy Pernell, NIU College of Law, announces with pleasure that the College has been awarded the 2003 Sullivan Scholarship by the Illinois Judges Association.
The Sullivan Scholarship, named in honor of Judge Harold Sullivan, a founder and long-time supporter of the Illinois Judges Association, is awarded annually to an Illinois law school.
In a letter to Dean Pernell announcing the College's award, Illinois Judges Association President Ann B. Jorgensen said, "By the awarding of the Sullivan Scholarship to the Northern Illinois University College of Law, the IJA is confident that it will be furthering its goals of enhancing the rule of Law in our society and furthering the professionalism of the practice of law in our State."
Dean Pernell is especially pleased to receive the scholarship during the 25th anniversary year of the College of Law. "We recently hosted a reception to honor our numerous alumni who are members of the judiciary. I am pleased that the College has been honored for its academic and practical legal training."
