Although the Class Reunion is on Saturday, October 16, you are invited to all of the College of Law activities during this weekend. You can register for any or all of these events.

Friday, October 15

3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
CLE Seminar
Room 186 - Swen Parson Hall
Free admission

As a bonus for the weekend, the College of Law is hosting free CLE seminars where you will be able to earn 1-2 hours of CLE credit:   

3:30-4:30 p.m.
Current Issues Regarding Access to Legal Services will be presented by Professor Laurel Rigertas.  One hour of professionalism CLE credit (approval pending) is expected to be given.

4:30-5:30 p.m.
Criminal Law - Supreme Court Updates will be presented by Professor Lorraine Schmall.  One hour of general CLE credit will be given.  Location: NIU Law, Room 186

6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Casino Night

Regency Room - Holmes Student Center
$35 admission for general public, $20 for students

Join the NIU Law Student Bar Association as they host their annual gala event.  This year's Casino Night will feature live entertainment from a jazz band.  Admission includes appetizers and gaming chips.  There will also be a cash bar available.

Saturday, October 16

Tailgate with the Dean

Join us in Alumni Village located next to Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center (Off Annie Glidden Road and Stadium Drive near Huskie Stadium).  Look for the College of Law Tent and join fellow alumni, faculty, staff and current law students for FREE food and drinks!

Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) will also be hosting a Homecoming Bags Tournament. Entry will be $5 per person (sign up as a team or we can match up singles). It will be a great way to enjoy the pre-game festivities and there will be prizes for the top teams! Email Jennifer Weston at jenniferweston2012@yahoo.com for more information.

Cost: $7 per ticket (Group rate in the NIU Law section)

Class of 1980 Reunion Reception
NIU Law, Marshall Gallery
Cost: Free; complementary drinks and hors d'oeuvres
Class Photo taken at 7:15 p.m.

There are a limited number of rooms reserved under the College of Law name at the Best Western DeKalb Inn & Suites (you can find directions to the hotel here).  Call (815) 758-8661 for our group rate and be sure to mention NIU College of Law.

Class Gift

The College of Law is committed to making success happen and so are we.  Help us raise $3,000 for a collective class contribution to be presented during the reunion.  Remember, our success has been the foundation for enabling past, present and future students pursue their dreams of entering the legal profession. We hope that you will help!

Memory Book

We are creating a Memory Book so we can keep in contact and refer each other. Even if you are not able to attend the reunion, please submit your information so we can include you in the book. Photos are welcome! We also are looking for photos and other memorabilia from your time in law school. All items and photos will be cared for and returned. Items can be emailed to mmitchell@niu.edu or mailed to Melody Mitchell, NIU College of Law, DeKalb, IL 60115. Please submit your information by October 1.
