Megan Heath

Megan McGee Heath

About Megan: I am from a small town in northwestern Wisconsin. I am a first-generation college student and a first-generation law student. As part of my undergraduate studies, I studied for two weeks in various parts of China, and I also studied abroad for a semester in St. Petersburg, Russia. I love to travel. I also have a passion for animals and children and have enjoyed volunteering with children and at animal shelters. I have two adopted Yorkies and have taken control of my health by joining Weight Watchers.

Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience:  I am a graduate assistant in the Student Legal Assistance Office. I spent the summer between my 1L and 2L years taking summer classes. After my first year of law school I can more definitively say that I am interested in working in criminal law.

What activities are you involved in? I have been on the executive board of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund for two years, and I am the Vice President of the Juvenile Interest Law Society.

This interview was conducted in Fall 2013.
