About John: I commute from Plano, and I am really enjoying my Tort Law course. I am interested in working for the FBI or as a district attorney after graduation. I am an independent EMT. In my free time, I like to play chess, lift weights, and go shooting.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: I worked for the State of Illinois at the Department of Motor Vehicles prior to coming to law school.
Why did you choose NIU Law? My professor in my undergraduate Criminal Procedure course really influenced me to become a lawyer. He encouraged me to come to NIU Law and even wrote me a letter of recommendation. It meant a lot to me because his wife is one of the legal writing professors here at NIU Law so I knew that he was a good source of knowledge who could assure me of the quality of education I would get here.
What activities do you want to be involved in? At the moment I am investigating the many student organizations on campus and I hope to join one soon.
