Jennifer Wittstock
About Jennifer: I am very lucky to have an incredible husband of fourteen years who has always been my best friend and greatest support. I am interested in pursuing a law degree so that I can be a strong advocate for civil rights.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: I worked in the nonprofit and public sectors after earning my Master’s degree in public service management from DePaul University, and I eventually formed my own consulting company. Prior to my nonprofit years, I had an extensive career in the private sector, with tenures in the marketing, telecommunications, and banking industries.
What activities are you involved in? I am passionate about community involvement and have had the honor of working with many organizations that strive to make a positive difference in their communities. My most gratifying and enjoyable service has been helping abused or neglected animals find loving homes. When I can find time, I love to go to concerts or read a good book – I especially enjoy biographies of historic figures. Here at the College of Law, I am the 1L Section Representative for the Public Interest Law Society, the Juvenile Interest Law Society, and the Environmental Law Society. I am also the Community Service and Outreach Chair for the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and a member of both the Women’s Law Caucus and American Constitution Society.
