Erin George

Erin George

About Erin: My mom passed away when I was a senior in high school and since then I have made it a point to be really involved in my family and the lives of my siblings. I thrived in college and was passionate about my major, which was marketing. I won the highest honor in the Business School, the Benedictine. In my free time I enjoy coaching cheerleaders, baking, running and reading.

Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: I loved participating in cheerleading growing up and now I am the cheerleading coach in my hometown of Geneva.

Why did you choose NIU Law? Proximity to home and my ability to maintain my coaching position that I love were big factors. Plus, NIU Law is really the best of both worlds. The law school has a tight-knit community feeling but you still get the big campus feel, too. I felt like everyone here was genuinely nice when I came for visits and the Open House.

What activities do you want to be involved in? There are so many opportunities, I’m keeping an open mind, but I am already in the Public Interest Law Society.

This interview was conducted in Fall 2013.
