About Ben: I love to watch sports and keep up with what is in the news. I want to graduate from law school and have a general practice and be a community lawyer.
Previous Legal and/or Professional Experience: I’ve always had an interest in the legal field. I worked briefly at a workers compensation/personal injury law firm in Chicago. I have been in the Army and Army Reserve for 13 years, most recently working as a recruiter.
Why did you choose NIU Law? I am interested in public service and NIU Law has a great reputation for producing lawyers who are compassionate and competent at working in public interest right out of law school. I also chose NIU Law because of its proximity to home and my ability to use my Veteran’s Benefits here. I ultimately decided to come here after a class visit. Seeing the place and meeting the people here made me feel at home.
What activities do you want to be involved in? I am involved in the American Constitution Society.
