678 Landlord and Tenant Law (2)

An examination of issues relating to both commercial and residential leases, including the creation of leaseholds, assignments and subleases, eviction, rent control, discrimination in the selection of tenants, and the respective rights and obligations of landlords and tenants. Particular attention will be paid to recent developments in the law of residential leases, such as the rise of the implied warranty of habitability.

This elective course is normally offered every year.
