A study of common, state, and federal laws applicable to nonunion employees, including at-will employment; workers compensation; the Fair Labor Standards Act; the occupational Safety and Health Act; pension laws; and employer liability for employee screening, testing, and referrals.
This is an elective course. Most, though not all, electives are offered each year. Students may expect to have at least one opportunity to subscribe to all electives at some time in their three years in the college.
