802 Appellate Defender Externship (3)

Students spend approximately 12 hours per week clerking in offices of the Illinois Appellate Defender. Externship involves legal research and writing of briefs, memoranda and motions in criminal appellate cases under the supervision of staff attorneys. In addition, students have the opportunity to observe oral arguments.

Prerequisite: Appellate Advocacy (727)

This elective course is normally offered every year.
