655 Agricultural Law (3)

A study of the application to agricultural operations of various areas of law including civil liability for injury, alternative forms of business operation, cooperatives, the uniform commercial code, income taxation, bankruptcy, international trade, and estate planning. The course also includes an examination of the various forms of governmental regulation of agriculture, such as price support programs, marketing arrangements, farm labor, OSHA, pollution, land use, and the farm credit system.

This is an elective course. Most, though not all, electives are offered each year. Students may expect to have at least one opportunity to subscribe to all electives at some time in their three years in the college.
