602 Advanced Criminal Procedure (2)

Constitutional requirements of the guilt adjudication process. Prosecutorial discretion, the grand jury, preliminary hearing, bail, jurisdiction, venue, discovery, speedy trial provisions, jury trial, sentencing, double jeopardy, appeals and postconviction remedies, and cruel and unusual punishment.

This is an elective course. Most, though not all, electives are offered each year. Students may expect to have at least one opportunity to subscribe to all electives at some time in their three years in the college.
