David A. Vella is with the Rockford law firm of Vella, Sparkman, Wheeler and Lund.
Vella graduated from Augustana College in 1993 with a degree in English and philosophy. He received his J.D. from Northern Illinois College of Law in 1997. During his years at Northern he became a Certified Mediator in the state of Illinois. Upon graduation from Northern he worked at the Winnebago County Public Defender's Office for three years. While at the Public Defender's Office he became a certified Guardian Ad Litem.
Vella is a member of the Winnebago County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a member of the Zeke Giorgi Memorial Scholarship Committee. The Zeke Giorgi Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of his grandfather.
