New Outdoor Recreation Sport Complex

New Fields

  • Multipurpose fields
  • Natural turf
  • Artificial turf 
  • Lighted fields
  • Bleachers for spectators
  • Benches for players

The fields can be used to accommodate:

  • 2 softball fields (1 accommodates baseball)
  • 3 rugby fields
  • 8 flag football fields
  • 5 lacrosse fields
  • 5 soccer fields
  • 8 ultimate frisbee fields
  • Multiple quidditch fields

  • Equipment check-out

  • Indoor equipment storage for Intramural Sport and Sport Clubs
  • 2 patio areas with covered tables and benches

Recreation play fields are located west of Stevenson Residence Hall and north of the Convocation Center. Outdoor fields will be available to reserve for special group events.

Hours of Operation Parking

The Outdoor Recreation Sport Complex is part of the New Northern LifeStyle, a campus transformation that includes: the renovation of Grant Hall, the building of the New Residence Hall Complex, the revitalization of Cole Hall, and many other projects across campus. The New Northern Lifestyle site provides more detailed information about these projects.

Parking for Outdoor Recreation Sports Complex

  • Handicapped spaces available
  • No parking on gravel area – will get ticketed
  • No parking in designated Athletic Parking spaces – will get towed
  • Event lot fees (minimum 3 hours) – charged back to large groups for large scale events
  • Brown, Yellow, and Blue, Brown, Green, and Orange Passes allowed in lot west of facility

Outdoor Courts

Basketball Courts by Stevenson TowersTwo basketball courts for open play are located south of Stevenson Residence Hall.  An additional outdoor court space lined for hockey is also available for use.

Courts can also be reserved for special group events.
